PLEASE NOTE: student VISA appointmenments are now possible.

The new exemption appears to apply only to G7 nations: the U.S., Canada, the U. K., and Japan. Everyone else still needs to visit San Francisco in person for fingerprinting. 

Second, it appears to apply only to study and mission visas. Applicants for work visas (including digital nomad visas), investor visas, elective residency visas, and any other category of visa must still book an appointment and visit San Francisco in person for fingerprinting.

ALL other visa requests MUST now go through the
Consulate General in San Francisco.
